WHY DONATE?
A study conducted by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health concluded that 42% of individuals in Maywood are uninsured compared to the 25% in the Los Angeles County. Even under the category of insured individuals, 27% report difficulty accessing healthcare. We established our first program in Southeast Los Angeles due to the high number of uninsured individuals in the region. Although we primarily serve immigrants, low-income families, and unhoused individuals, we provide our services to anyone who is struggling with access to quality health-care and medical services.
Our organization is best suited to tackle this need for we provide free medical services and nutritional services in a stress-free and comfortable environment. We emphasize preventative care and establishing networks through which our clients can receive proper nutritional supplies, healthcare, and lifestyle guidance. Our commitment to the health of the communities we serve not only provide the opportunity for individuals to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle but also empower our clients by establishing a strong sense of community.
WHO AM I DONATING TO?
International Collegiate Health Initiative (ICHI) is a 501c(3) approved nonprofit organization specifically designed to efficiently alleviate many of the barriers to healthcare faced by the underserved communities. 100% of all donations are used for the operation of our Mobile Community Health Clinics and Telehealth System. ICHI is comprised of doctors, nurses, medical students, non-profit advisors, and health care administrators who volunteer their time and services for the betterment of the community. All of your donations go directly into impacting the lives of the people we serve.
